You are new to driving. You have your Class 1 (MELT) license. You are eager to start your career. But, where do you learn how to be a professional driver?
If you are asking these questions, now is the right time to join our Driver Mentorship Program.
The Driver Mentorship Program provides PAID training.
Driver Mentorship Program
The Driver Mentorship Program includes 800-900 hours of on-the-road training delivering real freight for real clients. Meanwhile, we pay you a competitive salary and safety bonuses while you train!
The Driver Mentorship Program provides excellent training through a dedicated and specialized strategy, where an experienced driver (mentor) is paired with a less experienced or new driver (mentee), in order to guide the mentee in developing the skills that the mentee requires to perform their job adequately. The mentor shares his/her skills, knowledge, best practices and experience with the mentee.
Our Safety Department oversees the entire Driver Mentorship Program, utilizing advanced telematics, artificial intelligence and other tools to support mentors and mentees with the best that safety can offer.

The driving force to this department is an obsession focused on safety first. Our management and supervisors actively demonstrate a commitment to ongoing safety through directing resources, training and PPE to the entire department. Light Speed is COR certified.

CO-OP PROGRAM
In 2021 we collaborated with the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University to establish career service development partnerships, to interact with their campus communities, and to generate deep engagement across business faculties with an acute focus on supply chain majors.
In 2022, we doubled our post secondary partnerships, engaging SAIT and Bow Valley College. Throughout this entire process, we partnered with Trucking HR Canada to fund the program and ensure business-sustainability. In 2023 we sustained the program with great success.
